Help

I am in a constant battle with jack to eat his veggies. He ate a good amount of veggies when he was younger, and one day decided that he hated them. The only thing I can get him to eat is romaine lettuce ( plain) and that is a chore. We have veggies on his dinner plate every night and he never touches them. We followed the 10 times rule and got no results. I even tried trying the Deceptively Delicious way of putting purees of veggies into foods he likes but he busted me while eating his homemade chicken nuggets. It must have been the panko crust that gave it away! If you read this can you please leave me some advice?

Did you try raw veggies? Maybe give him some dip with them? Even peanut butter!!! Or what about melting some cheese on them? I have a kids cook book to make healthy food look cool. I'll lend it to you.

Ok..Take Jack shopping with you, and tell him to pick three veggies. Tell him to choose wisely, because he will have to eat them. Also try making "goodies" out of them..zucchini muffins, carrot cookies, etc. At our house, if there is something they don't like, they still have to take a few bites before they leave the table (Macy is 7, she needs to take 7 bites, Vince is 3 yrs. old, he needs to take at least 3, etc.). Good luck!

Also, tell him that all the Superheros became super because they ate ALL of their veggies!!!

We went through this with Billy around Christmas time, actually, and we told him that green beans were Grinch food. He ate them all and still calls green beans "Grinch Food". Leigh has some really good ideas. Maddyn sounds a lot like Jack! Fun isn't it?!!!

Our health food store sells frozen Spinach pancakes that both my kids eat. They are packed full of veggies (spinach and broc) but they look like green pancakes and they work for us.

Skyler only eats peas, otherwise, but she eats a big bowl every night. I like leigh's idea of zucchini muffins or bread. You can pack a lot of zucchini in there! Let me know what works... we're always looking for new tricks. Good luck!
